I am happy to announce our Winter Schedule for our six-week Baby Water Safety Course beginning Tuesday January 14.
I am very grateful and delighted that we have been offered use of the lovely saltwater solar-heated pool at the Secret Falls Retreat in Kapaa (see www.secretfallsretreat.com).
The classes will be on Tuesdays 11:00 for beginners Stage One. At 11:30, we will have classes for those who already have some experience. At 12:00 we will have a class for those who already have good safety skills (underwater turns; swimming underwater to hold on to side of pool; falling from poolside and underwater swim to hold on to parent’s arm; holding on floating object and more).
We will have make up classes in case of cancellation due to weather on Thursdays 11-12 and Saturday 4:00 at the ocean pool at Lae Nani beach. The second half of February and March can be very rainy and unpredictable.
The cost of the six-week course is $90, including both the lessons and the pool. Drop-ins are $20, and $15 for returning students. Prices will decrease in summer with lessons in the ocean. Gift certificates are also available. The course will end on February 25. After a two week break, we will have another six-week course.
